The Primer Sidre L’Añu is an event organised by the Fundación Asturies XXI in the Muséu del Pueblu d’Asturies in Xixón which allows cider lovers to taste the first crops of the year.
As part of this 4-day fair, the 15th edition of the Sidracrucis (in reference to the processions which take place this same Good Friday in Spain) will be celebrated on Friday, 30th of March, 2018. It will go through 10 “sidrerías” (i.e. places to drink cider) then through the Museum in the afternoon, where the Primer Sidre L’Añu takes place. Finally, the procession will visit three “llagares” (i.e. cider mills, where the cider is produced) and will end with an “espicha”, a party where people drink… cider, of course!
This unique procession is an idyllic pilgrimage that will demonstrate people enthusiasm for cider. The party, from 12pm to 10pm, will include cider, appetizers and bagpipes, with buses departing from Uviéu and Avilés. Watch out, limited places!
While waiting for the final list, we can already announce that this 2018 Sidracrusis will go through the “sidrerías” Montera Picona, Cabañaquinta, Casa Julio, La Tonada, La Pámpana, La Mata, La Canasta, Bambú and Nueva Uria. The procession will make a refueling stop at the Museum and will end at the “llagares” El Duque, Cabueñes and Bernueces, where the final “espicha” will take place.
The price is 65€/person and 60€/person if you are a group of 3 people or more, a former participant or a partner of La Sidra magazine.
As in previous years, we would like to remind you that the number of places is limited and so it is recommended to register quickly to avoid disappointments.
