Sparkling cider is spreading between 5% and 15% this year.
LA SIDRA.- With the approach of the Christmas season, sales soar in all sectors.
One of this is the Asturian sparkling cider, with an increasingly better quality and more and more demanded both within and out of Asturias.
Counting on two great cidermakers like El Gaitero and Mayador, with several million bottles sold a year, and the more recent Trabanco, with over 30,000, no supply problems are presumed.
Maria Cardin, communication manager from El Gaitero, assures that there is a general increase, within normal range if compared with an ordinary order, though she does not exclude any new developments.
Consuelo Busto, Mayador’s manager, also claims to have enough response capacity to deal with the new orders.
On the other hand, Samuel Trabanco, who has been making sparkling cider for less than a decade, notices greater sales within Asturias, as he thinks that Asturian people are getting aware of the great products we offer.
