El Ñeru cider bar, Asturian ambassador in Madrid

The restaurant has been presenting the truly Asturian cuisine in the city for more than 30 years.

LA SIDRA.- It was 1974 when Vicente Caso, born in Cangas de Onís, after spending six years in Madrid decides to be in charge of the restaurant El Ñeru, awarded with several prizes and one of the permanent ambassadors of the Asturian cuisine in the city.

Located very close to the City Hall, the restaurant, which can host up to 200 diners distributed in several dining-rooms, has a traditional Asturian cider bar décor and you can taste all kind of portions at its bar, paired with Cortina natural cider.

Among its specialities we find the Asturian bean stew, awarded as The Best World Fabada in 2015, broad beans and clams, Asturian vegetable stew, Asturian tripe, Cabrales croquettes, salmon or hake in cider sauce and rice pudding.

This year it will participate, together with other 47 restaurants, in the famous Fabada Route which will be held, for the first time, simultaneously in Madrid from 2nd to 18th February.
