THE CIDER.- The consumption of alcoholic beverages worldwide experimented on last year a decrease of the 0,7%. A negative data that did not come along on the last ten years. However cider continues to have good appreciation in the market. On the last years it experimented a sustained increase and even though on 2015 was lesser, our emblematic beverage continues to be established in the international market.
Regarding the sector of alcoholic beverages, China, Brasil and Eastern European countries were the most decreased ones. But it is to be highlighted that in North America there was a 2,3 % increase in comparison with 2014 and also a 0,7 increase in Latin America.
These data show that the last territories are suitable for cider market. An example of that is the “Asturies for foodies” consortium composed by Trabanco Group, Agromar and Agrovaldés. Three companies that put together to look for a better seeding into North American markets, which is growth.
