Quelo Cider Mill presents its new cider with a popular drinking meeting on the 6th and 7th of February.
THE CIDER.- When it seemed that professional cider mills totally forgot the tradition of making “espiches” or popular drinking meeting to present new cider, Quelo Cider Mill (Tiñana, Sieru), organizes one. A true one with snacks, seafood and of course their new cider, an early one, probably due to the high temperatures of this Fall and Winter.
Popular drinking meetings to present new cider were always traditional and continue to take place in home made cider makers, being well known those of Les Cuenques that during the Easter open their casks with new cider. However industrial cider mills progressively stopped doing the until almost dissapearing and being only prepared custom made at any point of the year. This is why this “espicha” at Quelo’s is especielly interesting.
