Piñera cider mill, Best Cider of Asturies in Nava, followed by Orizón and Castañón.
THE CIDER.- This prize was reached by Piñera Cider Mill from Xixón with 167 votes in front of the 166 and 165 of Orizón from Nava and Castañón from Villaviciosa.
Nava’s festival along with Villaviciosa’s and First Cider of the Year in Xixón are the main ones in Asturies both for number of participants and for amount of presented cider, so winning an of them is a deserved pride and this time, as the cider maker Luis Piñera stated “the fact that we have won with such a tight score gives us a bigger proud”.
On the other hand Orizñon was second in the general category and first in the local one as Best Cider of Nava and Castañón Cider Mill was in a not bad third place, also reaching the first one in cider derivatives with Roxmut, it scider vermouth.
Nava keeps celebrating its famous festival and cider lovers would attend all the evens scheduled for this edition.
