This season… Let’s make a toast with cider!

It is time to celebrate and enjoy with family and friends, so the best way to do it is with our quintessential drink, as the great variety of cider products we find in the market make them ideal on any ocassion.

LA SIDRA.- If there is something we do once and again these days is to make a toast. The distinctive sound the flutes make when they clink is the soundtrack we hear when we celebrate being together and sharing a good meal. This season cider is all of a tradition, especially in Asturies, where it is more than a just a product, but part of our culture and history.

Nevertheless, even having an Asturian sparkling cider on our table should be the most common thing for us- blessed tradition!- we must also remark that other beverages like champagne or cava still have the reputation of being superior.

If years ago we could have thought of this as something true, today this is outdated. The diversity of ciders made by Asturian cidermakers, who are backing the new products with great effort and tenacity, show us a more than interesting world to taste our traditional drink in very varied ways and ocassions.

There is a bit of everything for everyone, from brut ciders to ice ciders; rosée, sweet, sparkling, liqueurs or apple gin. So, following the Christmas spirit that overruns us, we show you some recommendations to make a toast these days.

It is our intention to orientate you in the best possible way, that is why we have selected the Asturian ciders awarded by an independent international jury in the last International Hall of Gala Ciders (SISGA) which took place in Xixón two months ago.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
