Panizales cidermill, about to launch its first ice cider made from Asturian pears

It will be on market together with other original products such as Cherry Hera and Quince Hera.

LA SIDRA- Faustino Mateo Vázquez, “Tino Panizales” has become a cider reference for his constant innovation since, in 1991, turned his hobbie as a child into professional work.

Some examples of his experimentation with new products are Viesk vermouth cider and his celebrated ice cider, from which only 3,000 bottles a year are produced.

This one, which started in 1998, is obtained by freezing the apple juice, which causes water removal and a big percentage of sugar and acidity. After that, it is slowly defrosted and stored in oak casks for two or three years. Finally, without any filtration or clarification, it is bottled and distributed. The final result is a cider ideal for pairing with cheeses and desserts.

Its great acceptance has led the cidermaker to elaborate a new ice cider, this time with Asturian pears, which will surely turn into an absolute success.
