This August the correspondents of LA SIDRA went to An Oriant (Brittany) to cover and enjoy one of the biggest folk festivals in Europe, the Lorient Inter-Celtic Festival. It brings together the Celtic countries: Acadie, Asturies, Cornwall, Brittany, Wales, Galicia, Scotland, Ireland and Isle of Man being this the 49th edition.
This year the prominence is for Galicia, who act as headliner. Here, of course, is the Asturian delegation organized by Iñaki Sánchez Santianes and composed by the groups Banda Gaites Fonte Fuécara, Grupu Folcóricu Prau Llerón, and some other artists.
Apart from these groups, the most festive note is given by the Asturies tent, which this year is under new management and has novelties in regards to programming but that maintains the gastronomic offer and the cider that is already the pillar and pillar of the culture Asturian in An Oriant.
