The emblematic Cafe Gijon becomes a cider bar.

LA SIDRA.- Cafe Gijon, inaugurated as a café & picture gallery in the summer of 1981, was born with the aim of fostering the urban culture in the town of Xixon.

After 34 years of uncountable artistic exhibitions, cultural activities and lectures it becomes a tavern-café with a gastronomic offer based on traditional tapas and good music.

Now the premises take a 180º turn to become Sidreria Gijon. To do this they rely on the cooperation of a professional like Justo Jose Cuesta, from Casa Justo, to start this new stage.

Sidreria Gijon seeks to invigorate an area which lacks this kind of establishments, near the marina, in a sweet moment for cider culture.

We are looking forward to enjoying soon good glasses of Trabanco cider in an atmosphere which plays a part in the history of Xixon.
