Asturian Cider Culture to UNESCO

The general manager of Rural Development and Agroalomentation from the “Principality” says they will retake the candidacy for World Intangible Heritage.

LA SIDRA.- Jesús Casas, during his participation at the “Sidraforum” celebrated within Nava’s Cider Festival,  stated that tomorrow will meet with the Councillor of Culture to start a campaign to include Asturian cider culture as World Intangible Heritage by the UNESCO.

As we should remind the “Principality” stopped that candidacy for ten years while others like Valencia’s fallas begun at the same place and already got the recognition. Anyway, in case of being true this time and if from the “Principality” do keep they word would mean that to the years already lost it will take at least 20 more to get that category.

In any case from LA SIDRA we only expect this announcement to be true and once and for all the “Principality” fulfills its duty and commitment presenting the Asturian cider culture to the UNESCO and reach the international recognition.
