25 apple orchards, 8 of them traditional ones, were presented to the Apple Orchards Contest organized by the SERIDA.

The Apple Orchards Contest (“plantaciones de manzano” according to the convocation) announced by the SERIDA got the man from Xixón Diego José Calvo as winner of the best apple orchard from Asturies, and Elvira Obaya form Lugás as the best one from Villaviciosa.

Apart of it, the SERIDA managed a table apples tasting with the aim of showing the differences and sensorial featuresof the different apples. Workshop coordinated by Enrique Dapena, and got an important following.

Moreover, the SERIDA got a permanent stand where gave information about the activities they carry out about apple and cider.
