The cider from the Cabueñes Cider Press won at the XXVII Villaviciosa's Cider Contest.
In yesterday's afternoon, in the Cortina Cider Press took place the final of the most relevant cider contest existing nowadays in Asturies, both for its old -this was the XXVII edition- and for the number of cider presses participating.
In this final phase six finalist cider presses were participating after a process of selection among all the ones presented, and after a very tied voting. The winner was the Cabueñes Cider Press, whose owner, Cesar Agüera, sees recognized this wat all his work of its cider press update, both technically and in raw material and production, keeping faithful at every time to the tradition.
With the triumph of Cabueñes Cider, a medium-sized cider press, it seems like is stablishing a change in these cider contests, where the posibilities for small and big cider presses seem to be quite averaged, and where there is the posibility of the good work of the cider presses with low production for its value to be recognized.
