The British photographer Bill Bradshaw won the LA SIDRA's 5th Photography Contest with his work "Falling Apples".
After long deliberations due to the high level of the pictures presented, the Jury met in a public act in El Mancu Cider Press (Xixón) and decided to award the British photographer Bill Bradshaw for his work Falling Apples.
In this call, there was a total of 145 photographers presented with 563 pictures, and as expected the participation was mainly Asturian, but there were works from all around the State, highlighting Madrid; from Europe England and Romaia and from Latin America, Colombia.
The jury was composed by the photojournalist Xurde Margaride, the El Comercio's Photography Manager, José Simal, Jerome Muñoz, Director of the Integrated Center of Image and Sound of Langréu CISLAN and the studio photographers Lorena Ayala and Carlos Manuel López
The LA SIDRA's 5th Photography Contest counts with the support of JR Cider Press and it is awarded with the prizes below:
- 1st prize 600 € (500 € in cash and 100 € in books)·
- 2nd prize 350 € (300 € in cash and 50 € in books)·
- 3rd prize 150 € (125 € in cash and 25 € in books)·
- Special prize “JR Cider” awarded with two cider cases to the best picture related to that cider press or its products.
